Olyset Net
(provides a novel approach for the control and prevention of flying insects.)
Olyset Net , first of its kind in the market, is made from high density polyethylene filaments impregnated with permethrin. This is different from the ordinary aluminum and plastic screens because of its insecticidal action that knocks down and kills mosquitoes and flies at contact. Also, it allows good airflow because of its wide mesh size for increased comfort. It is durable to washing and has a long lasting efficacy of at least 5 years.
Olyset Net is safe to use. It passed the World Health Organization Pesticide Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES) and is recommended as means in preventing and controlling dengue and malaria causing mosquitoes. Olyset Net is considered as one of the “Most Amazing Inventions of 2004” by Time magazine in its December 6, 2004 issue.
